me and football?!?!

so last week we made it to the UM football game - I have never liked football and can't see myself becoming a hardcore fan but I must say that at the game I had a great time.. C-A-N-E-S gooooooo CANES!







Then for the Ms.Scrap-Tastic contest at ScrapTastic I had to create a LO about my hometown city - so being the Miami Girl - here it is fun and bright - just like Miami!!









and this is it for the non-interesting blogger that I am.. have a happy week =)

can it be?

that I am blogging?!?! well I was checking out Rhonda's blog and was so inspired by her very cool background that I was able to figure out that it was easy enough for me to do to. Now let the truth be known that I was going to get the same one she has but I thought that was just going to far - so I picked these dizzy stars until I find something I really really like.

Now the real reason for blogging is that I had to show the CUTEST puppy ever. We just got this puppy for my grandma and I have fallen in love. She is a mix between some terrier and a shitz and is only 5 weeks old - she has been named Cookie, not what I thought fit her but hey she is not mine.. well here she is in her adorable bed, eating her food and all ready for Halloween!! I do believe I have a new reason to scrap.











so yes I am hopefully becoming a somewhat blogger.. scary huh?!?!

Oh My!!

Ok so I am totally horrible about blogging and I think its just a hopeless matter for me. Anyways I am experimenting on the computer and slide shows and even more in avoiding to do grad school work.. lol.. so I put together a little something to show my work for Octobers Kit from YourScrapbookStash this kit was honestly so much fun to work with, there was sooo much stuff! I still have more supplies to do quite a few more LO's so I will try working on some more stuff this week too..

well here is my slideshow and maybe just maybe I will post again soon.. LOL

ok well here it is another post in less than a few days!! I must really be scrappy!! so I am leaving out of town next week for a week or so and thought I would get as much scrapping now since I can't while I am out of town..

First I won a contest over at Iamascrapaholic!! There was a contest based on something new, something old, something borrowed and something old - i entered two LOs and even though my LOs didn't win me name was pulled from a drawing for participating and I won!! I am getting some journaling stamps from Autumn Leaves - very cool!!

thanks to the great August Kit from the Stash filled with Scenic Route goodies - I have had so much fun scrapping!! and still have a few more things I want to try and get done during the week. One of the LO's 'Future Cooks' was inspired by a LO JustEm did.. loved the fun and the journaling on her page so I took the inspiration and scrapped away!

Also if anyone can please explain to me how to get the pics under my typing intead of on top of it I would be very thankful!!

My Day!!

so summer vacation has proven to be not as wild and fun as I would have thought.. I have finished classes for grad school, only a practicum to go and then I will have my Masters in Reading. I have caught up on all my Dr's apts., I have run errands, run errands and did I mention run errands!! and yes there have been some scrappy days!! Well there is a great contest at ScrapFreak for guest DT and it was to scrap a day in your life and use a min. of 6 pics. I had so much fun working on this.. do I want to win of course but if not its been worth it i LOVE this page.. its so me!!

and not bad I have blogged 2 days straight!! =)

Scrapbook Stash DT goodies!!

ok well let me be honest - I was able to pick my July Kit and saw the Imagination Project Playlist line and it looked so fun and cool so I picked that one - I did not think it through because I had no pictures to go with it!! lol.. so I had to stretch my creativity a bit here but at the end I had fun with all the goodies in the kit!!

The best was getting to work with Hambly - I have had some trans. but have been to scared to use it - well this came with the 3/4 graph screen print and I LOVED working with it and have to have more now!! I just need to learn how to photograph it better..

Some New LO's

I actually got scrappy again!! Hopefully I'll continue the trend.. did 4 LO's in 3 hours.. that is a first for me!! they are simple but still!! lol.. oh yes and mini marshmallows are a great scrap snack!!

Blogging Again..

Just thought I would post a quick blog to help me keep in the blogging mood.. I did some scrapping this weekend (a lot actually) so will get those LO's up soon I hope.. other than that finishing it up this semester at school and studying for the state test next month!! Ok well that was enough blogging for now.. lol..

Blog Help..

i suppose i should go through the tutorial and read up on making this blog look more attractive and getting my pictures into a straightline at least huh?!?! maybe i should make thay a summer goal..

Ok so this is beyond ridiculous.. I just don't blog, thought I would but I don't.. lol.. So almost 2 months later here I am again, and here are some highlights of the past two months.

1. Only 11 months to the wedding! May 17 we went on a pre-honeymoon to Discovery Cove in Orlando, spent the day in the sun and swimming with the dolphins very fun!!

2. Finished work, don't have to go back until Aug. 13.. HAPPY SUMMER TIMES!! =)

3. Only one semester left of grad school and I will graduate with an MS in Reading!

4. Cleaned my scrappy stuff

5. Am going back to the gym again

6. Oraganized all my pictures into albums, photo CDs and now am ready to scrap away!!

7. Now have time to work on more wedding plans!!

Well other than that, no excitment.. so here are a few recent LO's and projects more to come soon hopefully.. if I can remember to blog.. i seem to only like reading blogs not keeping mine up to date =/

To Blog or Not To Blog!!

I haven't blogged in soooooo long!! we had spring break here and i was busy resting and catching up on a million (yes a bit exagerated) things that I had not been able to do. and sadly i didn't even scrapbook over spring break!! well i have been scrapping lately and getting back into the groove.. so will be posting some stuff soon. alright so its been a crazy weekend and last week was a crazy week and this week is going to be a crazy week. I start grad classes again after a week off and this time I am taking two classess!! YIKES! anyways.. you have to check out the new gallery at Your Scrapbook Stash - the Design Team is doing awesome work with this months kits from Tinkering Ink!! awesome stuff!!

also I have made it to round three at Scrap-Tastics american idol contest - this weeks challenge was awesome we had to either take a rap song and use it as inspiration for a scrap rap! I used the Song, Mr.Boombastic from Shaggy to create me scrap rap and honestly I am sooo not a rapper.. LOL.. check out the LO and wish me luck!

alright well i have quite the mess and loads of laundy to start on, so maybe one day I'll actually post a more enlightening blog =)

Its all good!

well after a great but late evening with friends last night i have had a rough start to my moring. I am way to sleepy to be functioning and working with third graders they don't let me sit still for a moment. Luckily I have a day filled with breaks!! and instead of being productive I am surfing the web. Well the good news is that I made it to round 2 in the Scrap-Tastic Idol - this weeks challenge is to use a CD cover for inspiration and we also need to make sure to use chipboard and buttons.. sounds like a fun one, now i just need to find a cd cover to inspire me!!

I have a final tonight and of course I have not studied so this should be interesting! then its come home and go to bed, hopefully will get some scrapping done this weekend, i have felt all scrappy lately so I need to take advantage and scrap to my hearts content!

Oh and for the best news, I got a call yesterday that my wedding dress came in and is ready for me to pick up!! the wedding is still a bit over a year away, but playing around trying on dresses I found MY dress and just had to buy it!! now i have to store it away for a while!! but I am more than happy to do so!

Ok.. off to try and get some studying done!

Scrap-Tastic Idol Challenge 1

There is very fun contest going on at Scrap-Tastic. Its the American Idol contest. They narrowed it down to 48 contestans and I have to say that everyone is really talented and there are amazing LO's!! I made it to round one. The challenge this week was to pick a song and choose a lyric in the song as the title to the LO, we also had a to use at least 3 PP and then describe a technique we used.

I picked the song "Your Picture" by Gloria Estefan. Here is the description that I posted with my LO.. this is for challenge 1 in th AI contest. LO is of my grandmother and me, this pic was taken a few weeks before she passed away - she was the most wonderful person I have ever known so i picked a song by Glorida Estefan that remind me of this picture everytine I hear it, oddly enough the song is titled 'Your Picture' i choose the lyric ::Smiling back at me:: b/c thats what i feel everytime i see this pic. The technique i used was inkinh and dotting the letters in the title and then bordering the journaling with black ink to make it pop out more. the PP was 2 from K&Co and 1 from chatterbox, i also used CS, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, flowers, buttons, word ribbon with family ties written on it. Journaling says "I SMILE =) This was the last picture taken of us. I look at this picture and rememeber and feel all the love we share. Thank you for all the love and beautiful memoreis given to me. You were an amazing gramdmother and the best gaurdian angel" The song 'Your Picture' by Glorida Estefan "Every star has a reason, a moment and reason to be" Thank You for looking =)

can't wait to see the results of this weeks challenge!! keeping my fingers crossed =)

I made a Design Team!!

I am so honored to have been choosen!! The LO that is posted above was the LO that I submitted, we had to create a LO to tell how we felt about Valentines Day. I had a great time working on this LO.
